  I have never had a good experience at Herrick Or Bixby Medical center. In May of 2011 it took Herrick over 8hrs to figure out that I had Appendicitis. Then the general surgeon would not even come to Herrick to operate because he didn't like Herrick. I had to be transported by ambulance at around 5:30 a.m. to Bixby Medical Center in Adrian, Michigan. Once I was there the surgeon didn't get there until almost 7a.m. so they left me on the gurney in the basement hallway where the surgeon washed and prepped my abdomen for surgery. Then he put on his shoe coverings, gloves, gown, and hair net. I was told that my appendix burst just after Dr. Girardi cut me open. I was very sick after the surgery where my "Nightmare" experience continued. I was cut open from above my navel to about 1 inch below my c-section scar and that caused an umbilical hernia which did not get fixed. Plus so many other things i don't have room to write on here!
